The racing is similar to other racing games in the kart-racing genre. The player races against opponents on a circuit, and can collect and use different power-ups and weapons to gain an advantage in the race. Some have called it a "High-Tech Mario Kart" for this reason.

Resonance of Fate

The game utilizes what is known as the tri-Attack-Battle system or officially t-A-B for short. The battle system is a semi-realtime battle system which means that it is a mixture of a real-time and turn-based battle system. The game consists of battle elements such as command battles and action battles.

Skate 3

Skate 3 is an upcoming skateboarding title in the Skate series of video games, produced by EA Black Box. A trailer was released in September 2009. It is expected to be released in May 2010. The tag line for Skate 3 is "Team Up. Throw Down". Developers recently hinted that the new game would include difficulty levels. The hardest difficulty level, or "hardcore mode" as it was referred to, is designed to appeal to the realistic style gamers. "Hardcore mode" will include low popping of ollies and flip tricks, more pushes to reach top speed and less magnetisation on grinds. Skate 3 is set in a new city called Port Carverton.

Split/Second

In Split Second, players take part in a fictional reality TV programme where participants race for money and glory. Throughout a race, players can build up their "powerplay" meter by performing stunts such as jumps and precision driving such as passing very close to objects and drifting. As the player builds up their meter, special events can be triggered which create obstacles for other players, create shortcuts or alter the race course entirely.These triggers are also activated by the player's AI opponents.

Trials HD

Trials HD is an Xbox Live Arcade game released on August 12, 2009 as part of the 2nd Xbox Live Summer of Arcade. It is a 2D puzzle/racing game that features 3D High Definition graphics. It was developed by RedLynx. The original Trials and its sequels are popular flash games that can be played for free online.
